Ground water Arsenic contamination is one of the major threat for public health across the globe. To study this scenario in context with Silchar city, Dr Tushar Deb Kanungo has taken up the project to find the 'Arsenic Map' of the city. Here he summarizes his findings present it in local daily (In Bengali) in a non-technical way for mass awareness. This write-up is a part of the outreach and citizen-science activities undertaken by the centre.

The arsenic map of Silchar city is probably first of its kind which is drawn for a city from North-east India
Jadavpur University who helped me to analyse data samples. I have prepared this map with great care and with my utmost sincerity as a part of the activity undertaken by `CASILab Social'.
